Shopping Center Development of the Year 2004

This shopping and entertainment center is one of the most successful regional shopping centers in the Czech Republic. It includes a multiplex cinema, restaurants, fitness and many recreational facilities. It opened fully leased in 2002 and was extended in 2004 with an INTERSPAR supermarket and is located in a well established suburban retail zone close to retailers such as IKEA, Tesco, and Globus. The new Prague ring road connects the center to the most affluent population catchment areas of Prague and to nearby cities to the west. The area has excellent public transportation links, with the shopping center itself uniquely connected to Zličín metro station. It won the Construction Journal “Best Shopping Center Development” award 2002. The project was managed by Portland Trust for number of years and sold to CGI in 2004.
